March 18

One more week under my belt, and as of tomorrow I only have two weeks left! Hopefully they go by fast, I really want to be out in the field. We get our travel plans on Friday!!! I can't wait.
So there was a little more excitement today. Elder Whedon went to the health center, and a few minutes later his companion came and got everyone from our district and we went to the health center. A nurse pulled us to the best picture I have ever seen. It was hand drawn, and had all of the Whinnie The Pooh characters on it. Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, Eeyore, and Rabbit were wearing masks and had the angriest looks on their faces. Pooh was holding a stick and pushing Piglet out into the lake on a raft, and Piglet looked so sad. I'll send a picture of it when I get the chance. The nurse pointed at Piglet and said "This is Elder Whedon." It turns out that he had flu, and so everyone in our district got Tamiflu, which I guess is really expensive. All in all, it was quite funny.
I heard the new Pope was announced this week. I remember when the last pope was chosen. However, now all I can think of is Angels and Demons.
I've also been missing my cracked.com videos. Everytime I play foursquare I think of the cracked video where they talk about why Disney is awful. Michael Swaim is talking about Lion King and says "Kids aren't going to understand moral gray areas or political nuiances. What they get is: To become the king, you kill the king. It's game of thrones up in the Pride Land!!!" That's essentially the brutality of MTC foursquare. To becomre the king, you kill the king. It's never personal, always business.
Also, we were on Mormon.org and looked on the people section and I saw this lady I knew because she does violin videos, her name is Lindsey Sterling, I guess she's Mormon! She does a cool Legend of Zelda video, you guys should look it up on youtube! It's super cool.
That's it for this week, love you guys,
Nick Foster!

Photos From the MTC and a Letter

This week was good! On Tuesday we had an awesome devotional with Elder Aidukaitis of the 70! Not as awesome as M. Russell Ballard my first week here, but still pretty good! It's mostly just classes, and not alot other than that. I read Our Search For Happiness this week, it was good. There's really not much else, everything here is exactly the same as it was last monday.
One of the districts in our Zone is leaving, our Zone Leaders are already gone! But one of the ZLs, Elder Killpack, and I really hit it off this week! It turns out that I know his cousin from a band, and he likes really good music! We also quote movie lines to each other after we found out that we like the same movies. I got him out in foursquare and he got mad and said he wanted me out (in a loving way), to which I replied "don't you put that evil on me!" and he knew it was from Ricky Bobby! So we've had a great time quoting movies to each other, and I'm sad to see him go! Lots of the Elders in the Zone are saying that they want to go to BYU after their missions, and as fun as it sounds, I don't want to do it. They're all really cool guys, it's just that I think that we all have this common goal of being on a mission, we're all unified, but after my mission we might not be. Last night, all the Elders in our zone sand "Hasta Ver" in the residency, it was really fun, we all shout and then for the last chorus they leaving district sings it by themselves, it was awesome and almost reminded me of a Spobo/ Teagsie show. Almost. I'm going to try to send pictures of it, we'll see how it works. If you guys can find my camera box, there should be a little white cord in the bag. Sometime before I leave, do you guys think that you could send it to me? I don't want to buy a USB card reader here. They're expensive. Also, my watch broke, but I guess that's what happens when you buy a $10 one from Walmart! I'll have to buy a watch here, they're like $30, but I need one and they look way sturdy. Thank Bry for me, because the money he gave me singlehandedly funded my addiction to Red Cream Soda that they have here.
I'm almost halfway done! I should leave on April 3rd, which is three weeks from tomorrow. And yes, I'm counting. Even though my Spanish is awful, I'm excited to get out into the field. I'm really good at bearing my testimony in Spanish and that's about it.
You guys should be proud of me! One of the elders in our district said a snide comment about Obama (even though I might not agree with him either, he wasn't coming from the same viewpoint of me) and instead of calling the Elder an idiot, which he most definitely deserved, I said "Let's not talk about politics. I don't want to hear what you believe and I don't want you to know what I believe. I love you all, and if you say stupid political things I won't have those feelings anymore."
That's about it for the week! Love you guys!
